HOW TO USE & DISPLAY

Your quilt is a family heirloom but don't be afraid to use it. Hang it on your wall, snuggle with it on the couch, or bring it to the park on picnics. I guarantee you will enjoy your investment more if you get to touch, see, and interact with it on a regular basis. 

If you wish to hang your quilt on your wall, you have several options. A search on Etsy for "quilt hangers" will reveal many products at varying price points. I have personally used wooden quilt clips and was very happy with the look and ease of hanging. 

HOW TO CARE FOR & CLEAN

Quilts intended for wall hanging should be dry-cleaned as they often feature vintage fabrics and intricate, delicate piecing. In addition, dry cleaning your wall hanging will help maintain its flat, smooth shape. If you are hanging your quilt in a particularly sunny spot, some fading may occur. Give it a break from time to time if you're worried and swap it out with another piece.

Quilts intended for use by people (i.e. by babies, on beds, etc.) can be washed in a machine on a gentle cycle and tumble dry on a low heat setting. Your quilt will develop a crinkled texture and more drape as it ages. It will also be softer with greater use and the occasional wash.
